The new school year is fast approaching. Here are a few things for you to know.
As of August 16, 2018 you can no longer access your My CBE Account. In order to register for services, and pay fees you need to create a new PowerSchool Parent Portal account. In order to create your new account you will need your students CBE ID and an access code. When requesting your access code, be sure to use the email address you used with your My CBE Account. Our annual Back to School BBQ is on Friday, September 14, 2018. We will be pre selling meal tickets for this event. Tickets must be pre-purchased for this event. Tickets can be purchased by Cash, Cheque (Cheques made payable to Eugene Coste School Enrichment Society), EFT (payments sent to [email protected]) or Credit Card through square squareup.com/store/eugene-coste-school-enrichment-society-2/ Last day for pre-orders is Wednesday, September 12, 2018 - You can find printable forms below.

Elections
The May meeting is our final meeting of the 2017/2018 school year. We will be electing a Board of directors; President, Vice President, Treasurer and Secretary. These positions are mandatory and are for a term of 2 years by the voting members at a General Meeting. Candidates must be voting members in good standing. Only parents who have had a student in the school the full previous academic year are eligible to be elected as President or Vice President of the Executive Committee. Notification of the nomination procedure will be included with the notice of the election. President: Runs meetings, sets agendas, communicates to all members, run and/or oversees fundraisers, social events and committees. Vice-President or Co-President: Assists President and fills in for all duties when required. Secretary: Takes notes at meetings and prepares and posts agendas and meeting minutes on School's Webpage Treasurer: Keep records of all money and financial transactions, prepares year end financial statements and reports.

Hitmen Hockey Restoration Grant WINNERS!!
We appreciate everyone's patience, we have been sitting on eggshells all weekend. But the wait is over and we are happy to announce that Eugene Coste School is the WINNER of this year's Calgary Hitmen grant of $50,000!!! We wanted to thank all of the Eugene Coste School families, staff, friends, and community members that voted for our project and worked so hard to promote our purple playground. The purple was chosen in honour of a student who recently passed away. We are one step closer to making that wish come true.
We also want to thank the Calgary Hitmen for selecting us as one of the finalists and giving us the opportunity to earn this grant.

Happy 2018.... We had our first Casino in December at the Cowboys Casino. We were able to fill all the volunteer requirements and are now back on the wait list for the next casino. We will find out mid February how much our school earned! Fundraisers planned are a Cash Calendar - sold in March and winnings earned in April. A bake sale and a child geared fundraiser TBD. Our playground fund raising is well under way. We now have drawings a more firm budget and plans to apply for our matching grants. By the end of this school year we should have firm dates for playground removal, and new playground installation for Spring of 2019. Check the playground page for more information. Farm to School Fundraiser
Our Farm to School Fundraiser was quite successful. We raised $1,916 dollars to put towards a new monitor for one of the classrooms. The families at the school donated 72 bundles to the food bank. They were overjoyed with the donation. They do not get a lot of fresh produce donated. Thank you to all the families that supported this fundraiser.
WestJet Fundraiser
A huge thank you to all the families for their tremendous support with this WestJet fundraiser. We sold all 1,000 tickets! Raising $10,000 for our school playground project. The draw was held at Eugene Coste School on October 31, 2017 at 1pm. The winner of the draw was Drew M, from Airdrie. Congratulation on your big win!!
